Why I Wrote This Book
For over two decades, I’ve worked in weight management—as a personal trainer, registered dietitian and various program director level roles. I’ve sat across from thousands of individuals who’ve felt frustrated, confused, and defeated by the endless stream of diet advice, influencer hype, and failed attempts to get “healthy.”
Here’s what I’ve learned: You are not the problem. The system is.
We live in an environment where the odds are stacked against sustainable health—where ultra-processed food is cheap and everywhere, where stress is chronic, sleep is scarce, and movement is optional. This book was born from a deep desire to change that—not just by educating, but by empowering you with a framework that actually works.
One Shift at a Time reflects my personal philosophy and professional experience. It’s not about perfection. It’s not about chasing an unrealistic body image. It’s about building a foundation for lifelong health by making small, meaningful, and consistent shifts that align with your values and goals.
This book is for you—if you’ve ever felt stuck, if you’re tired of yo-yo dieting, if you want a new way forward that honors your body and your life. This isn’t just about weight loss. It’s about reclaiming your health—and your power.
Let’s begin.
